Glad I'm not alone on this.

Jess--Did you see the list of links at the bottom of that page? There's a site just for how to cook corn on the cob, too. Oddly, I think I once Googled my way to that site as well.

Flurrious--How is it that you just made potatoes sound dirty?

Badger Reader--Ah, a convection toaster oven. I don't have one of those. This is a good time to refer back to my previous post about needing a spinster gift registry.

Liz--The fact that I couldn't remember whether I was supposed to wrap it in foil (and also what temp to cook at) was the reason I Googled in the first place. I'm with you, though. It's rare I'd plan ahead that far for a baked potato. On an average week night, I wouldn't wait more than ten minutes for one.

Shelly--I would totally need to Google that as well. How many minutes do you boil them? Two? Ten? Twenty? I'd honestly have no idea.

3Cs--See? Again, not the only one. Whew.

Alice--The Internet DOES know everything, after all.

Courtney--And it includes the phrase "cleaned, poked, oiled." I'm not sure what that has to do with anything; I guess I just wanted to say that again. ;-)

Hillary--I once Googled how to dice a tomato and blogged about that as well. I have no shame.

Stef--I think that recipe is actually exactly the same as the one I found! Hmm... who's stealing from whom? (Wait. It's a baked potato. How many ways are there to do it, right?) :-)

Poppy--I have never even attempted to roast garlic, so you're way ahead of me there.Stefaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10128238432671375399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12047376.post-84470766881078208892009-01-14T20:40:00.000-06:002009-01-14T20:40:00.000-06:00I'm still looking for the perfect Google of "how t...I'm still looking for the perfect Google of "how to roast garlic" because whenever I do it comes out too bitter and overdone. hmph.

I think you're wonderful and awesome for googling that.Poppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00059516280044760920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12047376.post-39534896989789422932009-01-13T19:33:00.000-06:002009-01-13T19:33:00.000-06:00i'm with you on this one. I'm a microwave and toaster oven kind of gal.

I'm betting there is no task so menial, no question so obviously answered, that there is not currently a website devoted to it. I feel like I am wasting my life away since I am not accomplishing anything nearly this productive. I tend to start potatoes in the microwave to cook them through faster, and then I pop them in the convection toaster oven to crisp. I am sure I use just as much energy as having the big oven run for an hour, but I get my potato dinner done in about 15 minutes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12047376.post-55441581697009812562009-01-13T08:39:00.000-06:002009-01-13T08:39:00.000-06:00How surprising is it that I've been to that site b...How surprising is it that I've been to that site before?
