I give up*

Remember how I said I am apparently the only person on the planet who is not watching Lost? Turns out even Wikipedia wants me to jump right on that bandwagon.

I do wonder about the selection process for the featured article of the day... Is it the job of an actual human, or are they culled strictly at random through some automated procedure? If it's the latter, I can't wait until the day the Wikipedia robot picks one of its more colorful entries to highlight on its home page. NSFW indeed.

-------------------
* No I don't, actually. I'm sure I still won't be tuning in for the premiere, but the pressure to do so certainly keeps building.

Dirty Sanchez... Well, at least Wikipedia is explaining it these days. I don't want to tell you the sources I had to learn about this from when I Googled it one day.

And, for the record, I only looked it up because it was referenced on "The Daily Show." The studio audience seemed to get it, but I was lost. I would have prefered to stay that way.

My husband has a HUGE crush on Lost right now. He and my law school friend have spent hours discussing and debating their theories about the show. They are even having a season premiere "party" on Wednesday. I am sure it will get pretty wild and crazy.

I think the show is good, but I could take it or leave it.

Darren--See, now, I was trying to reference that without actually typing it, in the hopes that it would keep the freaks and deviants from finding me in their Google searches. But you had to go and type it out. Oh well. Let the dirty sanchez weirdos come right on in and join the "castration stories" weirdos. I'll just pretend that I don't see them here.

R--That is cute. I was going to have a Gilmore Girls premiere party last week, but I actually find it annoying to watch my most favorite shows with friends; we always end up talking, and I miss stuff. And then I have to watch it again on tape later. Because I'm just that obsessed and anal.

I. do. not. watch. Lost.

Don't give in, Stef, don't give in.

I've never seen it and have no plans to. Stay strong. =)

Well, you have my permission to hash out some letters, like, "D-rty S-nchez" if it helps. I've been thinking about doing that on my post about a certain former sitcom star who had a certain area of her anatomy reduced. I can't tell you how often someone comes to my blog by Googling "P-nky B--bster."

Poppy and 3Cs--Strength in numbers. Fight the power, eh?

Darren--Alas, I never did move to Haloscan, so I can't edit comments. No biggie (though I will, of course, let you know the first time I see that in my search referrals!). ;-) I remember you writing about Ms. M--nfrye, but I don't remember why exactly. The post I want to edit or delete is the one where I mentioned this treehouse toy from the 70s whose name I won't repeat here because I'm already apparently the Internet authority on it, as I get hits almost daily from people looking for it. I don't even know why it annoys me; it just does.

Oh, and it was Pamie who taught me about D-rty S-nchez. She is the pop culture princess, after all.

I watched the first season of "Lost," realized they weren't going to answer ONE damned question and never tuned in again. And I won't. (So there, ABC.)

I'm a Lost addict. It's too late for me. Save yourself!
