In all the excitement over the historic nature of today's caucuses and primaries, I almost forgot that a woman and a black man aren't the only notable names I'll see on my ballot tonight. No, I forgot that, in Minnesota, anyway, we get the chance to cast a vote for Stuart Smalley.
Go Al. You can do it. Because you're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you. And to you, Mayor Quimby? It's been real. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

I love that last line. I know you didn't invent it, but I love it. It made me laugh.
Wait a sec... You have a Mayor Quimby?
I know! I'm so upset that I'm not there to vote for Al.
Interesting tv spots? Or just the typical fare?
Viva the midwest liberal!
Jess--Well good. Glad I made you laugh today. :-)
Noelle--Well, he used to be mayor (of St. Paul). Now he's just a Senator who in no way represents me. And I just call him that because he's smarmy and has the same accent as Quimby.
Mara--I didn't get to vote for him either! Apparently they were only taking ballots for President?? I still don't understand how caucuses work.
Monkey--He's actually not advertising much yet, but I'm sure he will eventually!
Oh, yeah, I forgot Franken was running! That is so fab!
I love Al Franken. I'm old enough to remember the "Al Franken Decade." Hee.
Yeah, I really really really hope Quimby does not get re-elected. Grrr.
I would like to punch Mayor Quimby. That is all.
