My Blueberry Nights (er, Day)

I seem to be running on summer hours here at Stefanie Says. I was all set to tell you all about my blueberry picking adventure yesterday (I'm a modern frontier woman! I picked my own fruit! From a farm! And then I took it home and baked something with it!), but "I picked blueberries yesterday" is about all I can muster for that story. We drove to a farm in Wisconsin. We had a lovely picnic along the way. We picked some delicious blueberries. Then we came home. End of story. I do have pictures, though! And isn't a picture still worth a thousand words or so? Here then is my 11,000-word essay on my blueberry farm outing. Enjoy.

It's so funny; when I saw the picture of you picking the berries on Flickr, I was thinking something very much along the lines of what you said; specifically, "Look at Stefanie the pioneer woman! One with the earth, and all that!"

And then I got distracted by your cute skirt. :)

Ha! I noticed the skirt, too. I likes it.

Mmmm, blueberries. I can't get enough of them.

I love photos! And blueberries!

That looks like great fun. I ATE blueberries yesterday, though I didn't pick them myself. I'm sure they would have tasted even better had I sweated a bit to get them. Those muffins look amazing!

Metalia and Nabbalicious--Thanks. Would you believe I got it at Sears, of all places? You have to weed your way past the old lady clothes and the teenage hootchie clothes, but when you do, they actually have some cute stuff sometimes!

Noelle--And exclamation points! :-)

Liz--The muffins were (are) pretty tasty. The cinnamon in that recipe adds a nice touch. If any of you lived near me, I would share. Instead, I have most of them in my freezer, hoping they keep better that way.

Those muffins look divine! Yum. And as for fashion, I was admiring your sandals! Very cute (and comfortable looking).

Agreed -- I saw the food last night on Flickr, went "yum!" and then went right for the skirt today. Cuteness!

Those muffins look incredible. I think I may need to go pick some blueberries right now.

I want a muffin sooooo much right now! The weather last weekend was perfect, so I'm sure you guys had a fantastic time!

As per the skirt- very cute. I score stuff at Sears all the time too.
I really need to go pick blueberries...

OK, I was going to say how much I liked the skirt, but that's been done...so I'll just say you were the cutest blueberry picker I've ever seen--and you bake too!

I'm so hungry now. I'm already going to the grocery store after work. Now I've added blueberries.

Those muffins look scrumptious.

Here I sit at work with a hankering for a big, juicy blueberry muffin. Wonder why? Man those look good.

L Sass--Oh my word; they are the best sandals ever! Unfortunately, Birkenstock does not make them anymore, and they are on their last legs (so to speak; obviously shoes do not have legs). I am looking into having them recrafted, actually; I love them that much. I have seen web sites where they do amazing things to old Birks. Cross your fingers for me.

The rest of you--I like to help, so in case it's of interest...
Here is my cute skirt (I have it in Turquoise, not the color shown), and here's a fine recipe for blueberry cinnamon muffins. Enjoy. :-)

What's cute? YOU. What's cuter than cute? YOUR OUTFIT!

(or vice versa...'cause I'm not saying that your outfit is cuter than you...you know what I mean. hee)

Who else can look like a supermodel while picking blueberries? Sheesh.

Maybe we are connected, for I have had blueberry pancakes THAT I MADE two mornings in a row.
