Hey there. Did you happen to notice that it's November 16th already? You did? Do you know what that means? NoBloPoMo is officially half over. And I am still in. Whoo. I even posted twice a couple of days. Are you impressed? Really you shouldn't be. You know how many people do this posting-every-day thing even when there is no silly contest involved? A lot. Regardless, I am impressed. With myself, I mean. Even if it's no big deal to you.
So let's consider this halftime, OK? Go on and get yourself a snack... grab a beer... hit the bathroom... make a quick phone call... keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of Janet Jackson's boob... you know, whatever it is you do when it says "Halftime" on the screen.
Incidentally, this may be a "Yay for olives post" (my new codeword for a post of no import or substance or any real content), but it totally counts, OK?

Heh. Cheater.
P.S. Peas: I choose to be silent on the issue.
Not only have you been successful with your endeavor thus far, but you appropriately worked in a reference to being halfway there! If I wasn't such a slacker about NaNoWriMo, I'd be impressed. But I'm too busy procrastinating reading your blog instead of writing my "novel."
Congratulations! I didn't even manage to stick with my plan to "Post every day I can". Oh well...
OG--Cheater? This from the woman who posted that "And now a word from the cat" thing? It's all relative, my dear. ;-)
Red--It totally didn't occur to me to pull out the Bon Jovi in this post, but thanks to you, I now have "Livin' on a Prayer" in my head on constant loop. Whee.
3Cs--You post more than I do usually, though, so yay for you anyway. :-)
I'm very impressed that you've hung in there the way you have.
And I've told you already: I want to read the "Yay for olives" post.
Whoo hoo! Halftime! I choose to remain in the stands and support the marching band. (I have no choice, being a former marching band geek myself.)
And yay for olives!
Darren--Thanks. I forgot I was going to include in that post the comment that you made about me being the only one whose blog you read who's stuck with the NaBloPoMo thing. Oh, and the nothing-but-an-olive-comment post may come next week, when I'm sneaking onto the Internet as quickly as possible while at my parents' house. We shall see.
Liz--I quit band after 8th grade, but I spent plenty of time in the stands hanging with my band friends nonetheless. So that plan is fine by me.
I'm very proud of you!! Very! Especially considering I can barely get a post up a week these days!!
